Staff at Oakwood Theme Park are confident Wales’ rollercoaster ride at Euro 2016 is nowhere near finished.

Football-mad workers at the Pembrokeshire visitor attraction believe the high-flying Dragons could go all the way and will be cheering Captain Ashley Williams and the rest of the team to victory against Belgium on Friday night.

Before leaving for France, Ashley brought his family to spend a day out at the theme park.

Whilst there the Welsh skipper enjoyed a ride on wooden rollercoaster Megafobia – which celebrates its 20th birthday this year – as well as exploring the Peter Pan-themed Neverland attractions with his young family.

Oakwood Theme Park’s Natalie Hunt said: “We were thrilled to welcome Ashley and his family for a day out.

“They seemed to have a great time and it definitely proved to be a highlight for many of the other visitors, as well as our staff, who got the chance to meet the great man in the flesh.

“He was extremely complimentary about the park and said he was particularly impressed with all the rides for younger children in Neverland.

“He clearly also had a blast when he rode on Megafobia with !” she added.

Oakwood has played host to a number of sporting superstars over the years including Ashley’s Wales team-mate Gareth Bales and the entire Wales rugby team.

Set in more than 90 acres of spectacular Pembrokeshire countryside Oakwood is Wales’ biggest family adventure with more than 40 exhilarating rides and amazing experiences to discover.

Famed as one of the world’s wildest wooden coasters, it was voted the best ride in the UK and the 3rd best ride in the world by coaster enthusiasts from the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain.
