ONE of the world's most celebrated poems is 90-years-old this year.
To mark the anniversary of the publication of The Waste Land, a local poetry group is staging a dramatised reading of the poem.
April is the Cruellest Month - the opening lines of the 434-line verse - takes place at Haverfordwest Library on Tuesday, July 10.
Written by TS Eliot, The Waste Land was first published in 1922 - just four years after the end of the First World War - and is now considered to be one of the most important poems of the 20th century.
It is being staged by the What Poetry group, which meets regularly at the library.
The dramatised reading, which is free and open to all, starts at 6.30 pm.
