Even though it was another rainy day, the participants at the Tenby Project had a busy time in Augustus Place last Monday. In the morning, some people got ready for the coffee morning held every Monday between 11 and 12 (everyone welcome!), others had a go at today’s craft (making a wreath), while still others started working on the Postbag of Happiness, which will be sent to a group in Cornwall when it is ready.

After pancakes for lunch, as it was Pancake Day the next day, things were prepared for the afternoon workshop and the arrival of people to join in. When Judith Barrow had arrived, and everyone had had a chance to chat and settle in, Judith led the group in making up short rhyming poems altogether as a group using different rhyming sounds. Much hilarity ensured, with lines being added to the poems from many parts of the room. Who knew that making poetry could be such fun!

When the workshop was finished, plans were made for next week, and for the next couple of months. Everyone helped to pack things away and get the hall ready for the music group coming in afterwards.

Next week, the Town Crier, Jim Cornwell, will be coming to visit the Tenby Project. Come along at 1pm to join in. Or come between 10 and 11 for the coffee morning! Everyone will be made most welcome.
