Last Monday, although it was still a busy day, everyone who came to the Tenby Project had a relaxing afternoon. In the morning, there was lots to do getting ready for the first coffee morning. These are going to be held every Monday from 11 am to 12 noon except for the last Monday of the month. Everyone is welcome to come along for tea or coffee and biscuits – and possibly cakes – and friendly chat.
By the time things were set up, posters made, the shopping done, and the cups put out, it was 11 am and people arrived. It was great to see new people, and show them what has been happening at the Tenby Project. After the visitors went and everyone helped make and have a quick lunch of cheese and mushroom quesadilla, it was time to prepare for the wellbeing afternoon.
As people arrived for the afternoon workshop, relaxing music was playing, the mindful colouring was out, and things were ready for people to try finger, hand or foot soaking, and to learn how to massage their own hands. Everyone tried the different activities, or sat and chatted, or joined in an impromptu game of darts. A lovely afternoon.
After the guests left, and everything was cleared up, a video was made to send to the PAVS AGM, and plans for next week were made. This Monday, February 21, there will be the regular coffee morning from 11 to 12 which everyone is welcome, and then the Tenby Project has been invited to have a look around the Mayor’s Parlour in the afternoon. If you are interested in joining, please go along, or get in touch on [email protected] . Tenby Project is on Facebook @tenbyproject and on the web at www.thetenbyproject.co.uk .
