The 2014 Saundersfoot New Year's Day Swim will be the village's 30th.

It will also be the 30th birthday for the swim's very own mascot, Charlie Shivers. During the build up to NYDS 30, Charlie has been looking back on his life and highlighting some of his best memories.

Charlie's Story: This is me on my first skiing holiday with Andy and Steve, aged 8.

Even though I wasn't in Saundersfoot, it didn't stop random people stopping me wanting to have a picture.

This man said he was from Cardiff and wasn't a bad scrum-half. Looking back at it now, I'm sure I recognise him!
