The next Narberth Old Pupils Association Reunion is now planned for 2006. Could it be the last one? Old pupil, Mr. Terry Griffiths, who has been involved in the last four reunions over 12 years, had hoped to organise a reunion this year - a promise made at the last reunion three years ago. But, due to ongoing health problems and regular visits to hospitals over the last two years, Mr. Griffiths just hasn't had the time (or the energy) to organise the popular event.

If it is the last reunion, a decision must be made to pass what funds there are in the bank on to some charitable organisation and the best time to do that will be a t the reunion.

Mr. Griffiths has taken the first step to organise the reunion in 2006 by booking the Nantyffin Hotel at Llandissilio for Saturday, July 9. The suggestion is that the reunion will start at 1 pm for luncheon at 2 pm.

The earlier date will give those who need overnight accommodation better opportunities as the schools will not be on holiday.

The afternoon idea gives those who have to travel long distances home afterwards, a better time to travel. After the last reunion, some old pupils travelled as far as Chipping Sodbury, Llanidloes and further afield. The afternoon idea also has its advantages in that former fellow pupils will recognise each other easier and should they stay on a little later to chat over old times, tea and sandwiches would also be made available by Emrys and Ann Murrow (an old pupil), the owners of Nantyffin.

Mr. Griffiths has received phone calls from former pupils enquiring about the next reunion, from Saundersfoot, Penally, Derby, The Gower, Mid and North Wales and further afield.

Thoughts on the above plans would be appreciated and any enquiries can be made by getting in touch with Mr. Griffiths at 'Ty-Hapus,' 67 The Beeches, Llandysul, Ceredigion, tel. 01559 362625.

It is hoped that County Councillor Jimmy Morgan will come on board to help with the accounts.
