Calling Pembrokeshire community projects looking for funding – come and meet the people who read your application forms at this years’ PAVS Virtual Funding Fair.
Every year PAVS runs a funding week where projects from all over Pembrokeshire can meet Local and National funders and listen to the latest grants being explained in person by the grant officers who will be reading your project’s applications. You can ask questions and hear some excellent tips for success.
The PAVS development team will host the event, introducing you to the different speakers, and outline PAVS own funds such as the recently re-opened Outdoor Connections fund. From the National Lottery Community Fund to Awards for All, our local Port of Milford Haven unveiling its new fund, to the WCVA grants and Pembrokeshire’s second home funded Enhancing Pembrokeshire grant run by PCC.
For green initiatives there will be speakers from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, sharing tips for applying to their Sustainable Development Fund, and Transition Bro Gwaun helping groups benefit from their newest green grant, funded through their community wind turbine.
Many community projects and buildings are run as social enterprises, wanting to reinvest in their community or projects. Advice and answers for these groups is available from the Cwmpas team (Formerly Wales Co-operative / Social Business Wales). Speakers from Delamare Dairy Foundation and Local Giving will complete the team of friendly funders ready to give you the most up-to-date grant information this autumn as well as tips for successful applications and of course to answer all your questions!
Funders love meeting the groups in person, as it helps to bring those piles of application forms to life for them.
This friendly informal annual gathering of Pembrokeshire’s community groups and projects with funders at PAVS’ very popular Funding Fair is also an ideal way to hear what other projects are doing and reconnect with those you may have met at previous Funding Fairs held online, or at the Queens Hall, Narberth pre-Covid.
This year’s virtual Funding Fair is from Monday to Thursday, November 14 to 17, 10am – 12 noon daily. Sign up early and have your questions on the ready, advises the team at PAVS.
