Sir,

Freedom of speech through the press and in this case our own Tenby Observer is paramount in bringing differing views and opinions into the public domain. How seldom do we have 100 per cent agreement on any subject?

I am sorry Anne Bowles in her letter last week felt that recriminations would follow any negative opinions she expressed regarding the hugely popular events taking place in the harbour for a few weeks during the summer months. Should Ms. Bowles want any of these events changed, modified or indeed made quieter she should perhaps contact the organisers beforehand and state her case?

Ms. Bowles also made reference to my lack of courage (what a sadly misused word?) in keeping my name/address private on my original letter. My details are, of course, on file, but in these days of internet trolls, scams and identity theft we are all advised to give out the minimum of personal information.

I stand by my opinion and there are ways and means of disguising any nuisance and noise emitting from an event and I sign myself as always . . .

Christine,

Tenby.
