Sir, we all celebrated and cheered the cyclists recently, as they passed through the various town and villages for Long Course Weekend.
Unfortunately, some of the celebrations in the aftermath spilled over into the Sensory Garden in Saundersfoot.
The Sensory Garden is primarily for the blind and partially sighted, and contains mainly plants with highly scented flowers or scented leaves, which can be rubbed between finger and thumb to release the scent.
As part of their fun, some people used the garden - over turning flower bowls containing plants which had been up the support wires of the Christmas tree stand, and used them as seats.
Someone had also laid down in a bed of Nicotiana and various other plants had been uprooted.
Mrs. Tessa Pearson, who has spent a lot of time planting and maintaining the garden, often providing unusual plants at her own expense, has decided to give up the unequal struggle.
This of course happened before; quite a lot of plants have been stolen from this garden, so it is so sad, that thieves would steal from the blind.
