The highly anticipated BIG Plant Sale returns to the Town Moor, Narberth tomorrow (Saturday).

It’s one of the most important events on Pembrokeshire’s gardening calendar, and with record levels of attendance last year, we are expecting 2019 to be just as busy and enjoyable! It looks like the weather will be glorious too!

“We are delighted to be hosting the BIG Plant Sale again - it’s our biggest fundraiser of the year - and we celebrate 25 years!” said Clare Adamson, Events Co-ordinator.

“We have all the usual variety of stallholders, each with their own plants for sale. We are excited to be adding a Talks and Demonstration tent as a new feature.”

The BIG Plant sale has been a much-loved part of the Narberth calendar for so long that spring in Pembrokeshire wouldn’t be the same without it.

Attendees travel from near and far to take advantage of West Wales’ finest plant-sellers.

“Alongside the plants, new for 2019, we have a ‘talks and demonstrations’ tent with a range of different topics, including propagating specialist plants, creating gardens on challenging ground, plant based skincare, support available for small producers and trying to create a plastic free Narberth,” she continued.

“You can also expect an acoustic stage, quality local food and drink and a friendly atmosphere. And with face painting for children, there really is something for everyone!”

The Plant Sale hosts a huge range of growers with an impressive range of flowers, herbs and vegetable plants, as well as specialist stock including bamboos, pond plants, succulents and cacti.

The event has been described as ‘the start of the summer social season’ with it being a diverse and fun-packed day for the community, bringing people from all over the three counties to the idyllic Pembrokeshire town.

The BIG Plant Sale raises funds for Span Arts; the Narberth-based charity committed to providing performances and arts experiences for people from all over Pembrokeshire.

Span Arts welcomes plant donations for their own stall and garden-related prizes for their Big Green Raffle.
