It's going to be a white Christmas in South Pembrokeshire.

Heavy snow on Tuesday afternoon resulted in almost a complete whiteout just days before the festive Bank Holiday begins.

Popular locations were turned into pretty scenes currently seen on Christmas cards adorning mantelpieces and children had great fun sledging, making snowmen and throwing snowballs.

But the snow also brought misery for others as they tried to make their way home through the worst of the wintry weather.

Tenby appeared to be one of the worst hit areas with around three inches of snow falling in just two hours.

Schools closed early, as did shops and businesses.

Motorists found the conditions treacherous and vehicles were abandoned as roads became like ice rinks at the height of the blizzard.
