Artist Olivia Argent held a very successful event at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery last Thursday.

The Line as a Journey or The Ink Run Challenge was held as part of the national Big Draw campaign and was a free event for children, organised by Olivia and museum staff.

The event, which was attended by 12 children, started with a long blank roll of paper on which ink blobs were dropped and manipulated into shapes.

From these shapes, the children, armed with brushes and paints, were encouraged to find a picture and colour these.

At the end of the morning, the children were able to take away their own masterpiece created in ink and paint.

Collections manager Mark Lewis stated: "The level of creativity on show was enormous.

"The children saw images that completely passed me by. I was glad that the museum was able to offer this class and extremely grateful to Olivia who gave freely of her time and expertise.

"It is hoped that we can offer something very similar to children in the future."
