FOLLOWING a winter break, concerts at Burnett's Hill, Martletwy, resume this month with a programme featuring some of the top names in British folk music.

Getting the ball rolling will be Katriona Gilmore and Jamie Roberts, a brilliant young duo who were short-listed for the BBC Horizon Award a couple of years ago.

Since then they have gone on to even greater things, producing two acclaimed albums, featuring at all the major folk festivals and being invited to tour with the likes of Bellowhead, Lau and Jackie Oates.

Guitarist Jamie and fiddle player Katriona are both superb musicians and singers and their repertoire ranges from English folk music to old time American tunes and blue-grass - ace banjo player Cia Cherryholes guested on their last CD.

Gilmore and Roberts will be in concert on February 16. Tickets are £7.50.

The season of concerts continues with a visit from the great Phil Beer of Show of Hands fame, followed by acclaimed all-female folk trio Lady Maisery.
