Sir, We wish to thank all those who organised the 'Special Bazaar' for the CAFOD Tsunami Disaster Appeal. Despite the appalling weather, or perhaps because of it, the bazaar was well attended and a huge sucess. The magnificent sum of £1,340 was raised on the day. Our grateful thanks to those who made it possible by donating gifts, bric-a-brac, bottles and raffle prizes, especially our three star prizes: lunch for two, including a bottle wine, donated by the Blue Dolphin, Tenby; lunch for two, donated by Crown Inn, Penally; and a large bowl of fruit, donated by Four Seasons. We thank the many donors who gave a cash or cheques. And thanks, too, to the wonderful efforts of two small children: one a young boy who brought in a large brown envelope of 5p pieces; and one young girl's donation from selling bookmarkers to her neighbours! And to two of our young parishioners, who so ably played their clarinets and keyboards throughout the day, almost non-stop! The £1,340 from the bazaar has been added to parishioners' earlier donations, making a grand total of £3,170.10p, which has been sent to CAFOD (Catholic Aid For Overseas Development) for the relief of those affected by the tsunami disaster. Our slogan was 'Every penny counts' and so it does. On behalf of those in need -thank you.

Monsignor Brian Kinrade,

Holyrood and St. Teilo's Catholic Church, St. Florence Parade, Tenby.
