Through the medium of your newspaper, the Friends of St. Teilo's would like to extend a sincere thank you to those who supported our two recent fund-raising events.
Firstly, to Tenby Rugby Club for allowing us the use of their excellent facilities on Sunday, April 13, for a children's disco. Thank you especially to Stuart, Tenby Rugby Club, and to Wayne's Disco. The children had a fantastic three hours of action-packed dancing fun. A total of £161.40 was made towards school funds.
Secondly, to Tenby Bowling Club who were the hosts for our quiz night on Wednesday, April 16. Thank you to Richard Ormond for being kind enough to be our quizmaster; Mr. Brian Diment for helping to organise the evening and for donating a raffle prize; Tenby Ladies Circle; T. P. Hughes (special thanks to David Pilot who organised three teams from T. P. Hughes); The Evergreen; Tenby Coastguards; together with many parents and teachers (Mrs. Angela Nicholls, Mrs. Hollows and Mrs. James) who made the evening such a success.
Winners of the evening were The Evergreen, followed by one of St. Teilo's teams; 'One and a Half' and Tenby Coastguard. All three teams kindly donated their winnings back to school funds. Fifteen teams entered in total and £225.15 was raised during the evening.
The support we received for these two events is very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone.
