I would like to say a big thank you to those involved in making the Lions sponsored ride on Saturday such a wonderful event.
The weather was kind to us, as were the landowners who allowed us to ride across their land. It was a real pleasure to get off the road and enjoy the beautiful countryside and some good riding.
So, on behalf of all riders, a big thank you must go to all the people, young and not so young, who gave up their Saturday to organise the ride.
We much appreciate all the youngsters who opened and closed the gates and the people who provided refreshments en route and at the finish.
We are sorry to learn there will only be one ride next year, but do understand the amount of effort that goes into organising such an event.
So thank you all.
