Sir, My husband and I were returning home last Saturday evening and had the misfortune to suffer a blow-out on the Stepaside bypass. Shortly after, a young man stopped to offer assistance; although unable to help, we greatly appreciated him stopping. We would also like to offer our thanks to the security guard, who, seeing we were stopped in a dangerous position, on an unlit section of busy dual carriageway, used the powerful hazard warning lights and roof lights on his car to warn other drivers; also our daughter Kay, who brought us a much-needed flask of tea; and the police, who waited with us until Milforge Garage came promptly to our rescue. The car and ourselves were then safely delivered home with utmost care and consideration from the rescue driver. A very big thank you to everyone!
