May I through your letters column congratulate Gwen and Paul Ffield on a truly 'wonderful' evening last Friday.
Gwen and Paul decided to 'throw an Abba Night' in Penally Village Hall. The response was amazing! They were apprehensive, but judging by the turnout, they need not have worried, young and 'old' alike dressed for the occasion, in true Abba style. I didn't realise there were so many silver platform boots in circulation!
The children were very well behaved and although they preferred the 'Mamma Mia' cast's versions of the '70 songs, by the end of the evening they were singing along to the karaoke and Abba with rest of us!
Once again, a big 'thank you for the music' and we are all looking forward to the 'Grease Night' in the New Year!
