St. James Church, Manorbier, was the picturesque setting for the recent wedding of Mr. Benjamin Richard Graves and Miss Wendy Fiona Jones.
The groom, a BT consultant, is the younger son and stepson of Pam and Fred Parker, of Manormead, Plymouth.
The bride, a secondary school teacher, is the only daughter and stepdaughter of Anne and Bill Phillips, of Norton Farm, Manorbier, and Derek and Alison Ryder-Jones, of Daly City, San Francisco.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a dress of Indian raw silk, with hand-embroidered and beaded bodice, and small train, and carried a bouquet of full blown roses in shades of pink with white feathers.
The three bridesmaids, SallyAnne, Julia and Karenza, friends of the bride, wore dusky pink taffeta dresses and carried posies of mixed pink roses.
The flower girl, Esme, granddaughter of Bill and Anne, wore a white satin ballerina dress with dusky pink sash and carried a posy of mixed roses.
Best man was Ben John, groom's friend, and the ushers were Andrew and Simon Jones, bride's brothers, Geoffrey Brain, groom's friend, and Jon Samuels, bride and groom's friend. John also gave the reading in church.
The ceremony, conducted by the Rev. Victor Millgate, was followed by a reception at Castlemead Hotel and following their honeymoon in Thailland, the couple will make their home in Devon.
