Texaco Ltd Pembroke Plant have been honoured with a top accolade.
The company, which has been involved with local community sponsorships for over 35 years, particularly supporting local sports clubs and organisations, has won the Sportsmatch Cymru Sponsor of the Decade award.
Texaco, also runner-up in the local sponsor of the year category, have been involved with Sportsmatch Cymru since they started supporting youth groups 10 years ago.
In that time, 19 projects sponsored by Texaco, including ladies football, sail training, safety at sea, football coaching and surf life training have been Sportsmatched.
"Sportsmatch obviously helps the sports clubs a great deal by doubling the money that any sponsor may donate and this can be good for the youth of Pembrokeshire," commented Phil Thompson, of Texaco, who received the award at the Sportsmatch Cymru dinner held at the Celtic Manor Resort on Friday.
"We are very pleased to have been awarded the 'Sponsor of the Decade' and we look forward to continued support for the future of sport development in Pembrokeshire."
Texaco would like to thank Sportsmatch Cymru and the Sports Development Council of Pembrokeshire for their continued support.
