A short service of remembrance has been held at the cenotaph in Haverfordwest, as a mark of respect for the victims of the recent Belgium terrorist attacks.
It was jointly organised by the chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Clr. Wynne Evans, and the Mayor of Haverfordwest, Clr. Sue Murray.
The service was led by Rev. Mike Rowlands, padre to the 14th Signals Regiment based at Cawdor Barracks, Brawdy, and Rev. Illtyhd Protheroe, chaplain to the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
In attendance was the fire service’s colour party in full dress uniform.
Clr. Evans addressed the gathering by saying that victims of all atrocities across the world should also be remembered, adding that Welsh fire services have close links with their Belgium counterparts.
A minute’s silence was observed before flowers were laid at the memorial.
