This year marks the 10th anniversary of Guided Walks from Pembrokeshire Railway Stations. Launched in 1994, the programme has - over the course of its history - attracted many walkers from urban areas of south-east Wales who have joined holidaymakers and locals to sample delights of the Pembrokeshire countryside.

The programme is organised by PLANED, formerly SPARC, as part of the Greenways initiative, which promotes access-for-all to the Pembrokeshire countryside by environmentally sustainable means.

Sarah Worby, PLANED's tourism co-ordinator, said: "The Guided Walks programme offers a wide selection of routes throughout the county and provides an opportunity for people to join up with other walkers for the day. It also highlights the very many opportunities that there are to enjoy car-free days out in Pembrokeshire - which is good news for the beautiful environment that attracts people to come here."

The next walk takes place on Saturday, July 24, and is a route through the Lampeter Vale, an area of rolling countryside, which lies between Narberth and Whitland. The walk is approximately 10 miles long and starts at Narberth Station at 11.23.
