Sir, I would like to take this opportunity to thank your many readers who have supported the work of Tenovus the cancer charity throughout the year, either as customers or by donating quality clothes, books and bric a brac for sale at our shop at High Street in Tenby. All profits from our shops go to support our programmes of cancer research, patient care and our national freephone Cancer Helpline 08 08 808 10 10. We are indebted to every one of your readers who, through support of our shops, make our vital work possible. If any readers are making a New Year resolution to help others, please can I urge them to consider joining the fight against cancer as a volunteer. Whatever the background, individuals can give as much or as little time as they wish. Or, if there are any other skills or work experiences that can help us make a difference, please let us know. We would also be extremely grateful if any unwanted gifts could be donated to Tenovus, which will allow us to raise valuable funds for our programmes of cancer research and patient care.
