Dedicated staff and volunteers at Tenby’s Tenovus shop are celebrating the branch’s 20th anniversary this week.
Situated on the town’s High Street, charity store workers enjoyed a birthday cake to mark the occasion and offered thanks to the community for all its support over the years.
“We’re grateful for the amount of bags donated to the store over the years from the community which has enabled us to thrive and hopefully we’ll continue to thrive for another 20 years,” said store manager of 10 years, Debbie Jenkins, who also gave thanks to all the volunteers who work at the shop.
“There is 169 years of service between our volunteers of working at the Tenby store, so the value of our volunteers is paramount, and we couldn’t run the business without them,” she continued.
“Our shops just wouldn’t be the same without our fantastic team of volunteers, but we always need more people to help, so if you can spare a few hours a week, or more, and want to offer your skills and time, we’d love to meet you,” added Debbie.
The shops raising funds for Tenovus Cancer Care, recently partnered with the Football Association of Wales, to create a charity wristband so that people can show their support for the Welsh team at Euro 2016.
As well as purchasing a wristband, you can help support cancer patients and their loved ones, by popping in for a bargain, as the Tenovus shops are full of clothes, books and bric-a-brac, helping to raise money to keep cancer services and research going.
