Tenby's streets are currently something of a minefield for drivers, with Pembrokeshire County Council carrying out work in Upper Frog Street and High Street. In Upper Frog Street, the council has taken up some of the cobbles and Western Power Distribution is currently laying a new cable, which will take approximately three weeks. "Afterwards, we will relay the road surface and resurface it with cobbles, as in Lower Frog Street," Anna Wilson, the council's assistant press and public relations officer, told the Observer. Meanwhile, in High Street, phase five of Tenby Enhancement Scheme is being carried out. This involves removing the existing carriageway and replacing it to new levels. It also involves constructing a new footpath from St Mary's Church to Woolworths and installing a new stormwater drain.
