Here’s a few lovely photographs which are likely to take pride of place in the family album.
Pictured is Eluned Brown, Tenby’s oldest resident, who celebrated her momentous 104th birthday on April 7...and had a delicious cake to prove it!
It seems it wasn’t quite big enough to take all 104 candles though!
A lifelong member of St. Johns Church (formerly the Congregational), the church has kept in touch with her during Covid by sending regular news letters and remembered her birthday by sending a basket of beautiful flowers.
The Cymrodorion Society also recognised her birthday.
Well known in the town, where she likes to keep up with all the latest news and events, Eluned also recently ventured out to see another of Tenby’s current ‘celebrities’ - Wally the Walrus, joining the crowds on Castle Hill to catch a glimpse of the rare visitor to these shores.
What’s more, not many people get to celebrate their 80th birthday with their mother, but that’s exactly what her elder son Tony was able to do last Sunday, April 25, when the two got together...and totalled an amazing 184 years between them!
Tony, who lives in Lamphey, celebrated with four generations of family present.
Eluned still lives in the family home in Tenby where she was born and is looked after by excellent carers from Care In Hand and family.
