Haverfordwest Under 16s were recently crowned as the Todaro's Pembrokeshire League Under 16 Champions, with the team having a very strong Tenby connection - namely seven players who previously played for Tenby Juniors, having signed for Haverfordwest because Tenby did not field an Under 16s team this season. The team won every game except one, which they drew, and are also through to the Under 16s Cup Final next month. They also reached the West Wales Cup quarter-finals before going out by a 2-1 margin to Swansea side West End. The squad's 'Tenby boys' are David Jones, Bobby Briers, Matthew Jones, Jamie Robinson, Ashley Prior, Clem Boswell and Oliver Morgan. Oliver, Bobby and Matthew also play for Haverfordwest's Under 17 MacWhirter Youth League team, and it is hoped that all the boys will return to Tenby next season to embark on their senior football career.
