WHITLAND YOUTH 5 pts TENBY UTD YOUTH 15
Tenby Youth opened the match with attacking rugby from the first whistle. Their first try was practically a repeat of last week, with Rhydian Rees breaking from a scrum on the Whitland 22-metre line, passing to scrum-half William Crockford, who put Lewis away for a try in the corner. Thomas Lewis converted his own try from the touchline.
Good play from Tenby forwards and backs put more pressure on Whitland and resulted in Lewis scoring a drop-goal from quick ruck ball.
Whitland's strong defence and a few mistakes by Tenby saw no more points scored in the first half.
The second half saw Whitland come back and put Tenby under pressure, but some good defence from Chris 'Cone" James, Mark Wooles and Harry Bolton kept them out.
Tenby spent much of the second half with 14 men, with players in the sin bin. Whitland kept up the pressure and were awarded a penalty try. The conversion failed.
Tenby managed to come back and take control of the last 10 minutes and Robert James crashed over in the corner for a fine try.
