On a glorious Saturday afternoon at Heywood Lane, Tenby Youth outplayed their opponents from Milford.
It was a relatively young and inexperienced side, due to injury and players going off to university, which took to the field.
Tenby began strongly and applied all the pressure on a big Milford team. Good work from Patrick Roberts and Dominic Landraigen in the Tenby forwards resulted in three points from the Tenby kicker, Toby Smith.
However, Tenby made hard work of the game and Milford could easily have scored from Tenby's mistakes in the first half.
Good play out wide resulted in wing Andrew Stretton scoring a try to make the half-time score 8-0.
The second period began as the first had finished, with constant pressure on the Milford defence. Todd Davies, Joe Morris and Yannick Parker were dominant in the home side back row and the inclusion of Jason Ronowitz was the lift that the team needed.
Tenby began putting phases together, with backs and forwards keeping the ball alive. All this pressure resulted in a further five tries in the second half to make the final score 43-0.
Tenby try scorers were Andrew Stretton 2, Ben Griffiths, Todd Davies and Jason Ronowitz 2 , while Toby Smith landed five conversions and also added a penalty.
Tenby Youth players and officials would like to thank Mr. Loz Phillips from 'Seafishing Tenby' for sponsoring a set of training shorts for the squad.
Players' player-of-the-match: Patrick Roberts.
