This year, Tenby Events and de Valence have taken over the organising of the Tenby Winter Carnival. After forming a committee, it was decided that the full week of festivities this year would be totally charity driven.

Christine Brown and Claire Porter said: "We have worked hard over the last few months to compile this very exciting and full week and hope that it will be fun-filled and beneficial for all the community, our visitors and the many charities taking part. "The festival's aim in 2007 is to bring together the whole town and encourage excitement and participation. It is hoped that we will have sufficient float and walking entries to make our parade the best yet and truly spectacular."

Entertainment includes of course the carnival procession, Santa's Sprint Relay, choirs, bell ringers, a marching band, charity stalls and various activities and events, not forgetting the Tenby shop window competition.

Saturday

Families will enjoy the build up and excitement to the start of the programmed week. It all begins at 10 am in the de Valence Pavilion with the Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair, where Christmas bargains will be in abundance. Wednesday and Thursday

Senior citizens will once again be able to enjoy the delightful Christmas gathering organised and hosted by Tenby Round Table. The organisers have ensured that there are also activities for the teenagers of Tenby. The youth club has arranged for local bands from around the county to entertain them at the de Valence Pavilion.

Friday

Saturday

Grand finale: To conclude the week's festivities, a grand Masked Ball will take place at the de Valence Pavilion. An enjoyable evening of mystery, fun and entertainment with a three-course dinner, a table magician and the fantastic Fat Barry's Soul Band will entertain all who attend. It is recommended that early bookings are made for this fabulous event. It is hoped that all the locals and visitors will support this major event and help make Tenby sparkle leading up to the festive season. The organisers of Tenby Winter Carnival would like to take this opportunity to convey their thanks to all the local businesses who have given their support to this festival.
