The Tenby Visually Impaired People Group met at the Avenue Centre for their November meeting on Tuesday, the roll call revealing some 20 members present.

The afternoon began with a quiz, and then project worker, Tom Forgaard, distributed various artefacts obtained from Scolton Manor, and members had to guess which decade they were from. There was lots of "I remember using one of those" and "my mother always used that" as the items came from the 1930s and 1950s.

Following welcome refreshments served by Margaret and Roz from Saundersfoot Inner Wheel, the raffle winners this month were Molly Page, Iris Roblin and Joan Macro.

Menus for the Christmas lunch to be held at the Gower Hotel on January 20 were discussed and names taken, although the final arrangements will be made at the next meeting which members are asked to note will be on the second Tuesday in December, that being the 9th.

Before the close of the meeting, Gwen Gilson thanked everyone for making her 100th birthday so enjoyable, and the PBS minibus, together with a driver from Saundersfoot Rotary Club, then took everyone home after a most interesting and enjoyable afternoon.

Any visually impaired people are welcome to join the group by calling the secretary, Margaret Walker, on 843464.
