Tenby United have been in buoyant mood this week following good news on and off the playing field.

Spirits have been high among the Seasiders after they notched up their first away win in two seasons with a dramatic last minute 33-32 victory over Birchgrove.

In a solid, totally committed performance the never-say die United notched up three tries, one apiece from wily scrum half Neil Duffy, centre Gavin Brace and stand-off Neil Powling.

The prolific three-quarter also added all three conversions and banged over four penalties in a personal tally of 23 points.

In addition the the high spirits brought about by the win, which has given renewed confidence in anticipation of tomorrow's (Saturday's) home clash against British Steel (Llanelli), the Seasiders were also tremendously bolstered by the number of supporters who had travelled to Birchgrove for the game and they hope for more of the same at Heywood Lane.

On the player front, not only has Oliver Brace returned to the ranks - and was in action on Saturday - but the United also welcome New Zealand lock Matt Cammack, who is expected to be making his Heywood Lane debut tomorrow.

On the non-playing appointments front, Peter Cray has agreed to take on the role of team manager, assisted by Chris Williams, while John Noot returns as ground manager already looking forward to exciting times ahead at Heywood Lane now that planning permission for the new stand has been given.
