Tenby AFC Under 9s competed against eight local teams in the Pennar Robins Soccer Tournament on Saturday and emerged victorious after a hard- fought final against Clarbeston Road. After losing their first match to a goal from a quick break, the Tenby boys improved with each game. They took maximum points from the next three matches to top their group with 12 goals scored and just one conceded. The boys moved up a gear in the semi-final, with a convincing 4-0 victory over Kilgetty. In the final, early pressure led to a first-half lead for Tenby. The team then battled brilliantly in the closing minutes to keep Clarbeston Road at bay and take the trophy. Well done to William Davies, Daniel Evans, Owen Coombs, Spencer Williams, Tom Dyson, Kim Parmanand, Tom Harries, Scott Ferney, Declan Escott and Dylan Rees. Many thanks to Pennar Robins Football Club for hosting such a great tournament. The excellent playing surface, organisation and trophies were much appreciated.
