Tenby Town Council is on the look out for a new councillor, after one member resigned at its monthly meeting.

A vacancy has arisen for the South Ward on the Town Council, after Michelle Evans stepped-down at the meeting on May 13, telling fellow members that she felt that she could not give the position the commitment it needs.

Any ten electors for the South Ward may within 14 days of the date (May 14) make a written request to the Returning Officer at PCC to hold an election to fill the vacancy.

“We have notified Pembrokeshire County Council of the vacancy. If no election is requested following 14 working days, the council will look to fill the vacancy via co-option,” said the Town Clerk.
