Seventy-four years ago, two well-known Saundersfoot farming and mining families were united when Sidney John, the fourth son of James John and the late Annie Maria, of Hopshill Moor, Moreton, married Winifred Hughes, third daughter of Thomas Hughes and the late Annie Louisa, of Broadfield Farm. The wedding took place on September 14, 1930, at Bethesda CM Chapel, with Rev. Eaton (Methodist minister) officiating. The picture below was supplied by the couple's only son, Dave John, of Moreton.
