FOLLOWING a winter break, Art Matters has reopened with a mixed exhibition of paintings of Tenby by around 20 artists in a wide range of sizes and styles.
Detailed watercolours of the harbour from all angles by artists such as Bob John from Stepaside, Ken Cooper, of Pembroke, David Slade, of Saundersfoot, and Graham Hadlow, hang alongside peaceful pastel paintings of the sea and the beach by Arthur Lewis, of Whitland.
Also in pastel is a fine painting of waves breaking over the rocks on South Beach by Barry Herniman.
Ivan Taylor, president of the Staffordshire Society of Artists, shows oil and watercolour views from the harbour alongside some fine new oil paintings of the harbour by Philip Harris from Saundersfoot and some unusual acrylic interpretations by Pembrokeshire artist Penny Jones.
Two large paintings, one by Sean Phillips, of Stepaside, and the other by his wife, Janette, feature Tenby's cliffs and an abstract interpretation of South Beach out of season.
Other artists whose work is featured in the exhibition include Janet Bligh, Nicky Yeoman, Joy Wheeler Phillips, Joan Cooper, Vanessa Pearson and Sue McDonagh.
Art Matters is situated in South Parade, Tenby, next door to the fire station. The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and continues until March 11. Entry is free. For further information, telephone 01834 843375.
