Over 150 fixed penalty notices have been issued for illegal parking in Tenby over the last month.

Officers and traffic wardens have been targeting illegal parking after residents raised concerns at the Tenby Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting.

A total of 153 tickets have been issued, with 46 of these being for illegal parking in the bus bay outside the old Somerfield store.

The Tenby Neighbourhood Policing Team have also been carrying out stop checks on young people who are under the influence of alcohol.

Several young people have been spoken to and anti-social behaviour referrals have been made.

The PACT agreed the team should continue to tackle illegal parking over the next month and pay particular attention to those blocking drop kerbs.

PC Trish Dixon said: "Residents of Tenby are being asked to make sure they park legally and do not cause obstructions.

"We are also asking them to ensure they know where their young people are and not to provide them with alcohol."

The next Tenby PACT meeting is on July 1 at Augustus Place, Tenby, at 7 pm.
