We the visually impaired recipients of the Tenby Talking Newspaper would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the very kind folk who read and copy the Tenby Observer each Friday so that we may enjoy the local news just like everyone else.
There are currently four teams of approximately five people who give up their Friday morning once a month to provide this service free of charge.
We would also like to especially thank the co-ordinator, Jean Roberts, for all her hard work in receiving the returned tapes each week, checking for damaged tapes and notes, and indeed keeping a check that we all return our tapes regularly and making enquiries regarding our well-being or otherwise when a tape is not returned for a few weeks.
We would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and a healthy and peaceful 2004 and we look forward to receiving our tapes next year.
Special thanks to Saundersfoot Rotarians who kindly hand deliver the tapes on bank holiday weekends when there is no post, and to the postmen in the locality who deliver our tapes throughout the year.
