Tenby Talking Newspaper first started in October 1999 and now consists of five teams of volunteers who record the highlights of the Tenby Observer every week and post it to anyone who is blind or partially-sighted and would like to receive it.

The teams are from - St Issell’s WI, The Trefoil Guild, Tenby Rotary, Saundersfoot Rotary and St Mary's Church.

Pictured (left to right) are: Judy Davies, Revd Nigel Griffin, Alan Brooks, Revd Adrian Davies and Chris Sierwald. (Jayne Rees is missing from the photograph).

The volunteers are very grateful to Pembrokeshire County Council who recently helped financially with the purchase of new recording and copying equipment which has made the process much easier and faster.

“We are keen to reach as many people as possible, so if you would like to receive a recording of the paper each week, or know of anyone who would benefit from receiving it, please telephone Eva Rich, on 01834 812868 or 07790 890081,” said Judy.
