Tenby turned back the clock 600 years to the Middle Ages on Sunday as the town held a special Mediaeval Charter Fayre in the shadow of its historic town walls.
Organised by Marion Davies, Val Coates Rees and members of Tenby 2020's environment and heritage committee, the Charter Fayre was Tenby 2020's contribution to the series of events marking the 600th anniversary of the granting of a charter to the town by Henry IV in 1402, giving the burgesses the right to elect a mayor.
The fayre on South Parade was officially opened by present Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown, and included live music, buskers, stalls selling Pembrokeshire produce and charity stalls.
Traders were suitably attired in mediaeval costumes, while members of the Collegiate of Knights were also on hand to add 15th century colour to proceedings.
Funding, sponsorship and additional support for the fayre was kindly provided by PLANED; Welsh Development Agency; Welsh Assembly Rural Recovery Programme; Tenby's Famous Pound Shop; T. P. Hughes and Son; Woolworths Plc.; Boots the Chemist; W. H. Smith and Sons; Five Arches Gifts; Thornton's; Fourcroft Hotel; Tenby House Hotel; Lifeboat Tavern; Clarices Toy Shop; Skelfayre; Five Arches Newsagents; South Parade Newsagents; Tenby Rock and Fudge; Londis; Emrys Arts; Normandie Inn; Pipers Fish and Chip Shop; Rotary Club of Tenby; Tenby Town Council; Pembrokeshire County Council; Tenby 2020.
Thanks also go to the entertainers and musicians and all the many people who gave up their time to help with the event.
