A twenty-year-old man has been remanded in custody following a stabbing at a Tenby housing estate, with the case set to be heard at Swansea Crown Court next month.
Twenty-year-old Oliver Dowling of Newell Hill, has been charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding another male with intent to do him grievous bodily harm, following an incident at the Hafalnod estate on July 14.
Dowling has also been charged with possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
The defendant is also charged wth possessing a quantity of cannabis.
Following a hearing at Havefordwest Magistrates Court on July 17; the case will continue next month with Dowling due to appear at Swansea Crown Court next on August 18.
A police spokesperson stated at the time of the incident which occurred in broad daylight: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of an assault in the Hafalnod estate, on Tenby’s Marsh Road, at around 1.40pm on Monday, July 14.
“One man was taken to hospital after being stabbed with a knife. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“Officers, including firearms officers, remained at the scene throughout the day whilst they carried out their enquiries.
“A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in police custody.”
