Recently, SI Tenby’s immediate past president, Iris Davies, was pleased to present Margaret Hughes with a certificate from SIGBI to commemorate her 60 years of service to Soroptimism.

Margaret was a founder member of SI Tenby and District and has actually been a member for 63 years. Until quite recently, she also took an active part in the club and has twice been a president.

The name, Soroptimist, means ‘best for women,’ and that’s what Margaret has always strived to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best. SI Tenby was therefore delighted to make Margaret an honorary member, as a fitting tribute to her long-term contribution to both the club and the organisation.
