During half-term, Tenby Sea Cadets O/c Max Brewster, A/c Luke Richards, A/c Jake Davies with Lieutenant R. Broxham travelled to Fishguard to visit HMS Bangor, the Royal Navy mine countermeasures ship.

The cadets were encouraged to visit all departments of the ship, including the bridge and engine room. The cadets were able to handle and learn the safety rules for the ship's light machine guns and had great fun trying the various rigs and equipment in the diving section.

The Tenby Cadet Unit is liaising with Tenby Leisure Centre staff to arrange a sponsored row on April 13. This event is to raise funds for the new Sea Cadet flagship to replace the present TS Royalist which is now over 40-years-old.

The staff and cadets are also busy preparing their boats and Unit headquarters building, ready for the Unit's annual inspection and training assessment on April 18.
