The band and songsters from Pentre Salvation Army led our services on Sunday (writes Marie Moreton). Throughout the day, we were treated to some beautiful songs with powerful messages sang by Pentre songsters and some excellent music from the band. Also, some of the people from Pentre Salvation Army spoke about various things that God was doing in their lives.
After the morning service, they sang and played in an open air service on The Esplanade. Many people stopped to listen and some joined in with the singing.
In the afternoon, they took part in the RNLI open air service in the harbour as the band lead the hymn singing and the songsters sang some special songs. Major Martyn Clements from our Tenby Salvation Army led this open air service which included Bible readings from representatives from other churches and prayers for the RNLI and its Tenby crew and for all who work and live by the sea.
The blessings of this day continued to pour out in our evening service with praise to God in song and band music as members of Tenby and Pentre band and songsters joined together. All that was said, sung and played reminded us of God's love, goodness and greatness. Our evening service was ended with Tenby songsters singing a blessing for everyone.
