Junior Sailing
There will be a get-together for juniors and parents on Wednesday, November 2, commencing at 6.30 pm, to discuss and plan for the future. There will also be a prize-giving and photo-shoot and food laid on.
Looking ahead, the junior Christmas party will be held on Wednesday, December 14.
Darts
A much depleted team visited the Evergreen with some trepidation.
Acting captain, Bob 'Steady' Wilcox, had to make some difficult decisions but some paid off.
As usual our inability to nail that final double proved costly and eventually, yes, you guessed it, we lost.
There were some highlights - Helen Williams won her game in style and John 'double eight, double eight' Akrill had a fine win, with John, amazingly, finishing on double eight!
This evening we are at home to the Tudor Lodge, a mean darting outfit. Participating members please note.
Social
Programme
As mentioned previously, a social programme for the next few months is complete and is published in the latest newsletter which has been circulated - copies are also available at the club.
Please support the club's efforts on the social front.
Just a few dates to note: Tenby Blues Festival - we will be hosting two bands on Saturday, November 12; the club Christmas party will be held on Friday, December 23.
Jam Evening
Monday's acoustic jam was a most enjoyable affair, with participants entering into the spirit of jamming. The next acoustic jam will be on Monday, November 28. It's the place to be - don't miss it.
Howard
Howard will be catering this weekend. Come on down and enjoy fine food in warm and convivial surroundings. His steak pie is amazing!
Dinner Dance
and AGM
Would members please note that the annual dinner-dance and prize-giving will take place on Friday, November 18, at the Giltar Hotel.
This will be followed by the club annual general meeting, at the club, on Saturday, November 19.
The menu for the dinner is now available and is in the newsletter and on the club's website.
Please contact the commodore, Terry Evans, as soon as possible, to make a reservation and give him your choice of menu.
Maritime
Humour
An old sea captain was sitting on a bench near the wharf when a young man walked up and sat down. The young man had spiked hair and each spike was a different color.... green, red, orange, blue, and yellow.
After a while, the young man noticed that the captain was staring at him.
"What's the matter old timer, never done anything wild in your life?"
The old captain replied: "Got drunk once and married a parrot. I was just wondering if you were my son!"
Opening Hours
We have returned to winter openings of Friday, Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. Why not call in for 'lemonade' - there are not many 'watering holes' with a vista like ours.
