Sunday Racing
As last week, Arctic conditions meant there was no sailing last Sunday. Hopefully it will be warmer this Sunday.
Jam Evening
The acoustic jam was a very enjoyable affair with those present enjoying a variety of music. Thanks to Nick Thomas for co-ordinating the evening. Even Terry 'Bluesman' Evans had a go, much to the delight of the audience. Thanks also to Ross and Steve for their continued support. The next electric jam will take place this Monday, December 13. It's the place to be.
Darts
The euphoria of a win lasted precisely one week. As expected, the opposition proved too powerful for us - they won in convincing style. The only success came from our 'in form' regular, Rolly Squibbs.
I wonder if our opponents really understand our darting philosophy of randomness? To quote the commodore's comment on addressing the members at the AGM, "the darts team confirm the nuances of the Chaos Theory".
This evening we are away to Tenby Bowling Club - participants please note.
Junior Party
The junior party will take place tomorrow (Saturday), commencing at 7 pm. There will be various games and entertainment to keep the juniors occupied. It would be appreciated if parents and members would bring some nibbles along so that the ravenous will be kept at bay.
This year the junior section is raffling a hamper to raise money for the upkeep and purchase of new boats. Donations towards the formation of the hamper would be appreciated, so please bring your contributions to the party -thanks in anticipation.
Tickets for the raffle will be available at the club and will also be included in the imminent newsletter. We look forward to seeing a great turnout.
Howard
Due to club functions, Howard will not be serving up his delicious grub this weekend.
New Year's Eve
The club has acquired the services of Howard who has agreed to put on a New Year's Eve three-course meal. Please contact commodore, Terry Evans, on 844256, to make a reservation. Places are already going fast - numbers will be limited. It's going to be a great evening - book early to avoid disappointment.
Newsletter
A newsletter has been distributed to members. There are copies available at the club. It contains details of the social programme for the next few weeks and membership renewal forms. Yes it's that time of the year when the annual membership renewal is imminent.
