Club Sailing

Considering the lively conditions, quite a few boats made it onto the water. Race officer Ieuan set a short course which kept the participants on their toes. Several substantial gusts tested the sailing ability of all who ventured past the starting line.

One such gust resulted in Deanna Morton leaving the boat in a spectacular fashion, eventually rejoining the boat after inspecting the hull from beneath. Obviously, this amazing maritime adventure did not detract her and Mike Stace, as they eventually finished second on handicap.

The final positions were as follows: Daniel Jackson in a RS600; Mike Stace and Deanna Morton in an Osprey; Edward Dashfield and Emily Kirby in a RS500; Alastair Mackay and Alistair Knibb in an Osprey.

Relative newcomer Danny Owen braved the conditions in his new RSVareo. It won't be long before Danny will start to challenge some of the seasoned veterans.

Darts

We had a very pleasant evening when Saundersfoot visited us for a darts challenge. After some close matches, home advantage worked in our favour. Many thanks to members of Saundersfoot Sailing Club for contributing to a very enjoyable evening. There's no league fixture this evening - so it's practice and more practice in readiness for next week's match against Tenby Bowling Club at Tenby Bowling Club.
