Darts: As expected, we lost to a very accomplished darting outfit. For captain Terry Evans, the evening had its ups and downs. During the warm-up 1001 game, he actually scored zero in three darts, a feat only recorded once before in the history of the league. However, having amused both teams, he played some inspiring darts during his singles match to overcome the opposing captain. Terry, accompanied by John 'double-eight, double-eight' Akrill, were the only doubles winners, with John getting the elusive final double.
All agreed the evening had been played in a friendly and sporting manner, with some memorable moments, including Les's 180.
This (Friday) evening we are away to Castle Inn, Manorbier. Vice-captain, Colin Parmenter will have to inspire the troops in the absence of Terry, who is on choral duties.
