Alas the conditions on Sunday were such that sailing was not an option. Let us hope for more clement weather this Sunday

Guess what? We were firmly put in our place yet again. Not quite the annihilation of the previous match, but still a heavy defeat. Our nemesis has returned - getting that final double seems to beyond most of the team. We are at home this evening to the Cross Inn, Penally. Captain, Terry Evans, has urged members to practise during the week - a new tactic, I believe. We wait for the result in eager anticipation.
Wales v Australia
This eagerly awaited encounter will be screened on our large screen. Members and friends can watch the match in comfort and convivial surroundings. Kick-off is 2.30 pm - doors will be open at 2 pm. There will be food laid on for the ravenous. It's the place to be!
AGM
This very important event in the club's calendar will take place tomorrow (Saturday), commencing at 6.30 pm. Please note the amended time - the time published in last week's article was incorrect. After the AGM, the annual prize-giving will take place, followed by the commodore's thank you buffet and drink.
Club Openings
The opening hours have reverted to Friday and Saturday evenings, with the occasional function thrown in. Any time variation will be published in advance. On a procedural note, would members please have their membership cards to hand as temporary bar staff may not know the identity of all our members.
