Sunday sailing
The second race of the frostbite series took place on Sunday during a fine interlude in the current boisterous weather. Only three boats took to the water, the RS600 of Dan Jackson, the RS500 of Edward Dashfield and Emily Kirby and the Osprey of Ted Lewis and Matt Goldwait.
Race officer Mark Dashfield set a starboard triangular course with two good spinnaker legs. At the start it was the Osprey away first, with the RS boats in hot pursuit, spinnakers flying. The RS500 showed its pace and overtook the Osprey on the second reaching leg. On the first upwind leg, the RS600 moved through to first position which it maintained until the end of the race. On corrected time the results were as follows:
1. Dan Jackson in a RS600; 2. Ed Dashfield and Emma Kirby in a RS500; 3. Ted Lewis and Matt Goldwait in an Osprey.
Junior Racing
Recent conditions have curtailed the scheduled junior racing. Weather permitting it is hoped to continue with the junior racing for the foreseeable future. Contact principal trainer, Blake Shaw, on 842535 for further details.
Darts
We are at home this evening to the Jeffreyston Inn. With two back to back wins under our belts, let us hope the new-found confidence will be sufficient to overcome this excellent darting outfit.
Steak Evening
A large turnout enjoyed an evening of good food and social banter. Many thanks to Terry Evans and John Akrill for their gargantuan efforts. They will be back on the culinary trail on November 14. Book early.
Halloween Fancy Dress Party
A fancy dress party will take place tomorrow (Saturday). There's grub and music, so why not come along and have a great time. It would be appreciated if members would contribute to the culinary spread. See you there.

A club newsletter has been circulated to members. The newsletter contains information relating to future sailing events and social functions. Your support is invaluable, so please make every effort to take part in the scheduled events.
